Revision policy
What's included
Every Pondera order includes two revision rounds. Each round has a 48-hour turnaround. There is no time limit on requesting your included revisions, you have up to 90 days from delivery.
What counts as a revision
A revision round is a single, consolidated set of changes you'd like applied to the deliverable. Send your notes (annotated PDF, document comments, or written list) in one batch; the researcher will return the updated draft within 48 hours.
Examples of what's included: tightening copy, swapping in updated numbers, restructuring a section, replacing a competitor on the landscape, expanding the financial model with new scenarios within the same modeling framework.
What's a new engagement (not a revision)
- Changing the subject of the document (different company, different product)
- Changing the document type (turning a BP into a deck, or vice versa)
- A pivot in business model or market focus after first draft
- Adding entire new sections that weren't in the original brief
If your request falls here, we'll tell you and quote it as a new order, usually at a discount given your prior context.
Beyond two rounds
Additional revision rounds are $100 each, same 48-hour turnaround. There's no cap on how many you can buy.
Rebuilds at no charge
If our first draft missed the brief as we received it, for instance, we delivered an Investor-Ready BP when your brief clearly described an SBA-Ready BP, we rebuild from scratch at no extra charge. This is at our discretion; we use it sparingly and honestly.
Refunds
We refund in full only when:
- You cancel before substantial work has begun (within 4 business hours of intake, typically)
- We determine your industry has insufficient publicly available data for the SKU you ordered (we tell you within 4 business hours)
- We're unable to assign a researcher within 5 business days of payment
We do not refund for:
- Change of mind after work has begun
- Outcomes outside our control (an investor passes, a loan is denied)
- Scope creep beyond the original brief
- Disagreement with our methodology, we publish the methodology before you buy
Disputes
If you believe a delivery is materially deficient against the brief we received, email george@provdeck.com. We review every dispute within 3 business days. Resolution may include a rebuild, partial credit toward a future order, or a refund, at our discretion, weighted by what's fair to both sides.
Why we do it this way
Productized scope means productized commitments. Unlimited revisions sound great in marketing but in practice they lead to scope creep, exhausted researchers, and degraded quality. Two rounds + paid extras lets us guarantee the rounds we promise are excellent, instead of pretending unlimited rounds are equally so.
